Ice from Truck Causes Crash Near North Platte

Recently, a chunk of ice from the top of a semitrailer crashed down into traffic resulting in multiple injuries. Officials say a large piece of ice struck and penetrated the windshield of a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The truck accident occurred near North Platte along Interstate 80. Brother and Sister Killed in Hastings Rollover Accident

Teenage brother and sister were recently killed in a Nebraska car accident after being ejected from their vehicle. The fatal car crash occurred on Clay County Road 312 south of Clay Center southeast of Hastings. Officials say the 17 year old boy was behind the wheel on a gravel road when the vehicle rolled over. Both brother and sister were ejected from the car. They may not have been wearing a seat belt. The 15-year-old girl died at the scene, and the driver was pronounced dead on arrival at Mary Lanning Healthcare. Bellevue Man Killed in Crash

A 21-year-old woman was injured and her 44-year-old father was recently killed in a Sarpy County car accident. The fatal car crash occurred on 36th Street near Cedar Island Road in Sarpy County. Officials say the woman was driving a blue Chevrolet Cobalt when it spun out of control, crossed the centerline, and was struck by a southbound driving BMW. The driver sustained critical injuries and her father died at the scene. The 64-year-old driver of the BMW was hospitalized for observation. Wrongful Death Suits Filed After Actor’s Accident

In a tragic twist, Paul Walker, the young actor who rose to fame starring in Hollywood’s Fast and Furious franchise, was killed two years ago in a high speed car crash. Recently, the late actor’s father filed a wrongful death claim against Porsche, the car’s manufacturer.

Walker was not driving the car when it slammed into a concrete lamppost and two trees.
