About Joseph Cullan, MD JD: Physician and Trial Lawyer
Dr. Cullan has helped recover Tens of millions of dollars for catastrophically injured clients. He was admitted to practice law on July 1, 2000 and began working with his father Daniel B. Cullan MD JD, one of the first physician/trial lawyers in the country to specialize in representing catastrophically injured children. He worked with his father on nationally recognized cases, which obtained record verdicts and settlements throughout the country.
BARS: Licensed to practice Law in California, Arizona, and Nebraska.
MEMBERSHIPS: American Association for Justice, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and Birth Trauma Litigation Group.
EDUCATION: Graduated from Creighton Prep highschool (Cum Laude, 1993), in Omaha, NE, Santa Clara University (B.S., Cum Laude, 1997), and the University of San Diego School of Law (J.D., Cum Laude, 2000). Later, Joe followed his familial roots back to Ireland where he studied, trained, and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He performed medical internships in the United States, Ireland, and Argentina.
The Royal College of Surgeons was one of the first medical schools chartered by the Queen of England in the 1700's. Today, it is a leader in medicine, surgery, and obstetrics around the globe. Joe performed his obstetrical training at Ireland's National Maternity Hospital on Hollis St., where the active management of labor was invented. Also, Joe trained at the Rotunda, the world’s first all Women’s hospital specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cullan has also obtained a separate degree in obstetrics.
SPORTS/HOBBY: Gatorade All-American Soccer Player, Recipient of Bronco Bench Foundation Scholarship at Santa Clara University, Scholar-Athlete Award winner at Santa Clara University, All-State Captain Nebraska Soccer 1993.
LAW HONORS: Recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts. Both Pat and Joe were invited to be Guest speakers at the 2009 Inner Circle of Advocates annual meeting, ( the Inner Circle of Advocates is a collection of the 100 best lawyers in America).
